Book Return to Work Assessment$80 assessment visit · $60 certificate only if approved

In Squamish, a TelePlus Care return to work certificate is issued only after a full assessment visit with a Canadian licensed provider. The assessment visit is $80. If the provider clears you to return, the certificate is $60. If not, there is no certificate fee.
Clinical content is reviewed for accuracy and scope. TelePlus Care appointments go ahead only when a doctor agrees it is the right call, after a real assessment, and the doctor will explain the next step if virtual care is not the right fit.
Distances along the Sea-to-Sky corridor can make a clinic visit a long round trip. If your employer wants written clearance before you return after an illness or injury, the full assessment can be done by secure video or phone instead. The provider reviews how you are healing and the work you are returning to before deciding.
A return to work certificate is not the same as a regular doctor's note. A note explains why you were away. The certificate confirms you are fit to go back, gives your return date and, when needed, lists temporary limits on your duties, such as lighter work or shorter shifts.

Every certificate starts with a full assessment visit. The provider decides after hearing about your illness or injury, your recovery and your duties at work.

There are two separate charges, and you only pay the second one if you are cleared. The assessment visit is billed like a regular TelePlus Care appointment.
Sometimes it is too early to go back, or the provider needs more information first, such as a specialist report, test results or an in-person exam. In that case you are not charged the $60 certificate fee, and the provider explains the next step. That may be more time off, a follow-up visit, or seeing a doctor in person.
Squamish General Hospital serves the town and the Sea-to-Sky corridor if the provider decides you need to be seen in person. For free nurse advice when you are not sure where to go, call 8-1-1 HealthLink BC.
