TelePlus Care provides doctor-led online medical weight-loss care for adults in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta. Visits are covered by Alberta Health for patients with an active Alberta Health Card and a referral from their family doctor or nurse practitioner; without a referral, the initial assessment is a $149 private visit. Your first appointment is an assessment, and medication is prescribed only when clinically appropriate.
Clinical content is reviewed for accuracy and scope. TelePlus Care appointments go ahead only when a doctor agrees it is the right call, after a real assessment, and the doctor will explain the next step if virtual care is not the right fit.
You do not need to decide which medication you want before booking. Tell the TelePlus Care doctor what you have tried, what has or has not worked, and how weight is affecting your health or daily life. The doctor will review the full picture and explain whether medical treatment, further investigation, lifestyle support or in-person care is the safest next step.
The initial visit is where the doctor decides what information is still needed. Some patients may be ready to discuss treatment options; others may need blood work, a pharmacy check, an examination or records from another clinician first. If investigations are requested, book the investigation-review follow-up so a TelePlus Care doctor can interpret the results in context and discuss the plan with you.

Care is individualized. Depending on your history and assessment, the conversation may include nutrition, movement, sleep, medications that can affect weight, weight-related health conditions and prescription options. Drug names seen online are not interchangeable, and suitability depends on indication, contraindications, availability, cost and your clinical situation.
A treatment plan should not end when a prescription is written. At follow-up, the doctor may review symptoms, adherence, weight trend, blood pressure, relevant lab results and whether treatment remains safe and useful. Do not increase, stop or restart a prescription based only on website information—book the proper follow-up so the decision is made from your current health information.

For people balancing work, family responsibilities or travel across the coulees and surrounding Southern Alberta communities, online appointments can make doctor-led assessment and follow-up easier to fit into the week. Current appointment times are shown during booking; same-day options may be available, and the earliest selectable time is at least two hours after booking. You can attend from a private place in Alberta using a phone, tablet or computer. If the doctor requests testing, examination or urgent care, the team will explain that next step rather than trying to manage an unsuitable concern online.
Dr. Jerudi is certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine, and Alberta Health covers his weight-management visits when your family doctor or nurse practitioner refers you. Patients in Lethbridge with an active Alberta Health Card and a referral pay nothing for the medical visits. Without a referral you can still book directly as a private visit: $149 for the initial assessment and $99 for each follow-up. The booking form asks about your health card and referral and shows the correct fee before checkout. Medication, dispensing and pharmacy costs are separate and depend on your drug coverage.
